Mercedes 190e engine swap Hello everyone, I have a 92’ Mercedes 190e 2.3L, I was thinking about engine swapping it and was also wondering how hard or expensive it would be to do a K or VQ swap? I know the swap is not common but it has been done before at least as far as I know the K24 swap has.If you already have a 190e, including engine I'm betting on about 2500 to 3000 euro with some performance mods (722.6 tranny and manual shifter mode) Get a 190e 2.6 and put a 3.0 in it. Straight swap, everything plugs in and bolts up. I've done it before if u have any questions.My suggestion would be to head over to Grassroots Motorsports; there's a guy in the process of putting a GM EcoTec 4-cyl from a Saab into his 190E with plans to use a manual transmission from a Chevy Colorado to run it in RWD. I'm looking to make about 950-1000hp after done with the build. I'm parting out the car completely so if anyone needs anything please let me know.Consider a 2.3-16. Stock it will run 143.5 mph. Remove the mirrors, hood star, stuff the antenna and run a 195 series tire and it will top 155. The engine swap is not easy and you'd be better off buying a 2.3-16. If you do the swap you need the body kit to keep the car on the ground at triple digit speeds.You have 3 swap options: M102 2.3l with ke jetronic will be much easier and less complicated than the m111. M103 2.6l with ke jetronic and it will give you more power than m102 and m111. M111 2.3l newer than m102 with slightly more power but more complication and problems and harness issues.
