2016 chevy traverse shudders when accelerating
2012 Chevy Traverse sputters while accelerating. I have issues with my Traverse sputtering/vibrating when accelerating, especially when going up hills, etc. No check engine lights and it seems to not do it as bad when I switch it to low and manually shift gears. Now at 40k it's happening at the next shift as well. Dealer checking it since 30k. Never a 'code' registered. They tell me they need a code to know what's wrong. 3.6 V6 and 9 speed automatic. I bought it new.

A rattle or clatter sound like drawing a stick across a picket fence on hard acceleration could be preignition spark knock from low octane gasoline. Change gasoline supply or try higher octane and see if it makes a difference. The car downshifts, and can accelerate normally without any shudder. Traverse has had multiple problems with electrical system. This is a 2016 with 71,000 miles (mostly freeway). First occurrence was the reduced engine power - pulled over, turned off and went away.
