The starting charge is a lot less, and I wonder if it would even cycle an AR. So, you are on your own.The 357 mag shooting 158 gr over 18 gr of Lil'gun probably about 1950fps is a solid 100yd gun on big deer. I was looking for a maxi load that will push a 180gr at 1950fps or a 158 gr at perhaps 2150 fps. That is really all I would need. There are not many situations were 150 yds is required, clear cuts mostly.
