Problem is the bore as you know is so small and the pistons are 4 ring truck pistons (heavy,low compression). In my 427 I have a 366 forged crank. You do need to have it balanced if you don't use forged pistons. 366 heads, depending on which castings, aren't the greatest.

If you then bored it an additional .030 over (for a total of .060 over), then you would have a 414. And if that is the case, then you will need to order .060 over pistons for a 402.
