Nothing else was changed or touched. When Dyno'd it only made six more horsepower and torque stayed about the same. The motor did require using another fuel pump as the old one wasn't ... Dove's heads are mainly aimed at NHRA class racers. They start around $1800.00 for bare heads. You can expect these bare heads to have casting flaws and need machine work. Dove has none in stock typically and requires full payment in advance before they will build anything. Dove does not accept credit cards, only checks, money orders or cash.

After porting, the intakes measured approx. 1.485 x 2.900. As I stated before, time only permitted one attempt to raise port velocity and that was filling the bottom of the port with .700 of modeling clay. The resulting port measured 1.485 x 2.200.
