After 1 quart of primary 32 oz. I can see it looks like it is on the bottom side of metal ring. Refering to the '06 touring models,the service manual says 32 ozs.The owners maual says to fill to bottom of clutch spring.I had to add about another 5 ozs to get the level to the clutch spring.No abnormal clutch action with this amount. HD recommended their branded 20w50 in all 3 holes for many years, so you will be ok. Fill to bottom of clutch basket. It is better to be a little low on primary oil, than to overfill. As for the twin cams, some leak but most don't. The area around the primary is probably most common.
