Apr 5, 2010 · The dealer called the FoMoCo "Hot Line" back in Michigan somewhere and ultimately the dealer replaced the entire Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) and the brake switch. These fixes seemed to work since (A) I didn't get the fault message anymore and (B) I have since used Hill Descent Control when offroading. So, it's back. Again. I ended up with service advancetrac, no cruise, no hill start assist, no selectshift transmission modes and no hill descent control. Luckily it stored a code and the dealer ended up replacing the steering rack based on the codes stored and from what I was told, that sensor is not replaceable by itself per the Ford service manual.First I started by unscrewing the two phillips head screws holding the high mount on to the cab (in the picture you can see the moisture build up in the light). After removing the screws, it'll pull right off. On the back you can see there's two light bulb connectors (each side) and one LED connection (on the center).
