I use two full logs and it cuts a quarter off of both when i place them, i then use the two quarters and thats how it works for me.Not sure if this is necessarily a 'bug' or just a feature of the way the 'structural integrity' system works in log-build. It's kind of like logs have a 'dependency' relationship with nearby logs they are attached to, and if placing or removing a log will cause another nearby connected log's dependency to shift its 'structural weight', then it just won't let you do it, even if it seems like it ...
