Mar 19, 2023 · This is clearly the design intent, the problem here is that auto designer tends to try and make more well rounded ships using the best components it can find, and if you take archaeo-engineers and beeline those techs, you're ships are stuffed to the brim..

Recently got back into stellaris with galactic paragons and uni over. Loving it to death again, new patch/DLC is awesome. Enjoying crusader spirit and making vassals, even if lacking overlords currently. With that said, I am loving the new minor artifacts tech, and loving archaeo-engineering even if I hear it is middling.early to mid game just stack as much hangars as you can. the later the game goes the less of an impact defensive starbases have. best you can do is stack plattform with ion cannons and maybe some large guns and hope for an alpha strike. usually they only are usefull if combined with a defensive flleet. in general prioritize modules over platforms.
