Ford f150 stereo not working
Apr 9, 2015 · So I bought an aftermarket Kenwood double DIN from Crutchfield with the recommended PAC unit and the replacement dashboard kit. The problem I have is when the PAC module is wired up the Kenwood harness and plugged into the Ford plugs from the stock stereo, I do not get power to the new stereo when the key is on. The red 12v accessory wire is dead. I just have a "plain" Ford factory-installed AM/FM stereo in my 1994 F150XL Super Cab....it now shows the word "TAPE" in the digital display when I turn the power on....there's also a small "1" preceding the word "TAPE", appearing as a superscript....so, the power comes on, the volume appears to work (based on the increasing/decreasing lights ...
