May 31, 2012 · We have a 1970-something 2130 JD tractor. Its a fairly large tractor with 4 cylinders and no turbo. Ever since we got it a few years ago after it sits it starts quite awful. It take anywhere from 15 seconds to 3 minutes to get it going. Usually it cranks and cranks and takes off like nothing. I bought a worn out but running/functioning John Deere 2130 Summer of 2020. It has a bucket lift from Greys (1973 Scotland). It had been sitting in the Case dealership lot for quite a while and they had a hard time starting it the first time but after that it started well most of the summer.
